One of my sons seems to have as warped a sense of humor as I do. His fingerprints are on several cartoons in this book (and an earlier lab manual coauthored by Tony Grainger and me). But this seems to have an element of truth to it, as I recall thinking similar thoughts at more than one conference. Incidentally, the guy on the right is almost a self portrait of my son; at least I think so.
