After reading one paper by an eminent radar meteorologist that had eight (!) different units for radar reflectivity factor, I thought they deserved an award! In my opinion, there are only two valid units: mm6/m3 for reflectivity measured in linear units, and dBZ for reflectivity measured logarithmically. For a while, editors of AMS journals were insisting that we add the subscript "e" to reflectivity units. Ugh!
